SALT LAKE CULTURAL CORE MASTER PLAN

This master planning effort serves as a catalyst for economic, cultural and community development for Salt Lake City and County and beyond. It presents an extraordinary opportunity to proclaim the region as one of the nation’s key cultural centers. Sparano + Mooney Architecture worked with City and County staff, along with specialized consultants including BWP Communications and the Cultural Planning Group, to meet with stakeholders and members of the public, extensively review market data, and research successful national and international precedents for urban core revitalization as part of this extensive master planning process. The result is a comprehensive plan that establishes ambitious goals set by and for our community, and includes strategies for economic development and artistic/social diversity through placemaking, programming, and promotion. The plan was unanimously adopted, and is currently being implemented.
